Modi's intervention is not an anti-national incitement: Awami League MP in Parliament

Staff Reporter: Habiganj Awami League MP Abdul Majid Khan has questioned Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oikya Parishad leader Rana Dasgupta's statement seeking Indian Prime Minister's intervention to protect the minorities of Bangladesh as a provocation against the country.

He said this during the general discussion on the proposed budget in the National Parliament on Saturday.

He said that the General Secretary of the Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Parishad has sought the intervention of the Prime Minister of India. Is he inciting against Bangladesh?

He said that he (Rana Dasgupta) spoke in the same way that many people from Bangladesh speak for Pakistan.

Rana Dasgupta has asked Narendra Modi to 'intervene for the safety of Hindus' after several recent attacks on the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh. This news was published in Indian media Press Trust of India. However, Rana Dasgupta denied the news of making such a statement.
