Tamim's question about the qualifications of domestic coaches, Salahuddin replied

Bangladesh lost the T20 series against India. However, Tamim Iqbal is now in the discussion after overcoming that loss. The former captain has made a strong comment on the coach issue. According to him, local coaches are not qualified to be the head coach of the national team. After his comments, there are various discussions. Now, one of the most successful coaches of domestic cricket, Salahuddin, has commented on that issue.

Salahuddin responded to Tamim's comments about the domestic coach by joining a private TV channel's analysis of the Bangladesh-India second T20 match. However, he also gave reasons behind the coaches' incompetence.

Regarding Tamim's comments, Salahuddin said, "I think Tamim is right. But when a player comes to the national team, does he perform in domestic cricket and become fully prepared before playing for the national team? Except for a few, most of them are established after coming to the national team. Many players take 5-7 years to establish themselves in the international arena. If they take 5-7 years, then the coaches should also be given that time. The coach needs to be developed. The national team players are developed in many ways. Is the coach developed like this?"

Earlier, when asked whether a local should be given a chance to coach the national team, Tamim told Indian media outlet Sportsstar, "I don't think anyone from Bangladesh has the ability to be the head coach. Currently, there are two or three who are suitable to be assistant coaches. But I don't think anyone is suitable to be the head coach."
