Announcement of return to class for students of 421 institutions

Expressing satisfaction with the steps taken by the government to implement the 9-point demand of the students for safe roads, the students have announced to leave the streets and return to classes. Welcoming their announcement, please go back to class in Dhaka South City Corporation, we will do whatever we can to implement your logical demands.

Students from 421 educational institutions, including all the top schools and colleges of Dhaka, participated in the open discussion on 'Safe Roads and what we can do' organized by Dhaka South City Corporation on Monday (August 6). This announcement came from there.

Dhaka Metropolitan Awami League (South) General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad, DSCC Chief Executive Officer Khan Mohammad Bilal, councilors of various wards were present.

Aishanti Das Oishi, a student of Azimpur Girls' High School, said on behalf of the students, "What is our movement for?" We want a safe road. But I saw that the police did not perform their duties properly while doing the movement for that demand. If they don't do it, how will the road be safe?

He said, on behalf of our school, we want to say that the government has accepted our demand. We will no longer be on the streets. I will go back to class. I propose to open a separate department for safe roads in the universities. Moreover we can be used for safe roads.

Maisha, a student of Azimpur Girls' High School, said that every student's demand was for safe roads. The government accepted our demand. So we all go back to class.

Rumman, a student of Rifles Public School and College, said, "The government has accepted our demand and we want to go back to classes." Also request the mayor to arrange traffic police in front of every school.
