Kamalnagar (Laxmipur):
An anti-militancy rally was held in Laxmipur's Kamalnagar to protest against secret killings, terrorism, bombings and militant attacks across the country including Gulshan, Sholakia. The rally was organized by the anti-militancy civic committee. It was chaired by the president of the committee Principal Abdul Motaleb.
Hundreds of people participated in the meeting held at 10 am on Sunday (today) despite the rain. National Labor League leader Advotek Anwarul Haque, Principal Zayed Hossain Farooqui, Central Leader of Samyavadi Dal Nurul Amin, Upazila Awami League President AAKM Nurul Amin Master, Basad Upazila General Secretary Ibrahim Khalil, Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kabir Ahmed, Chairman Khaled addressed the meeting. Saifulah, Abul Khair, Harunur Rashid, Press Club President MA Majid, Jugantar Upazila Representative Sajaddur Rahman and other people from various professions expressed their solidarity. General Secretary of Upazila Jubo League Ahsan Ulyah Hiron conducted the meeting.
The speakers said, those who are involved in killing in the name of Islam, called to deal with them collectively.
