BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, 'Now there are no more points. Now one point, one demand that the government should resign at this moment. Power should be transferred to caretaker government. By handing over power to a neutral government, abolish this parliament and hold acceptable elections under the new Election Commission, and the power of the people should be returned to the people.'
He made this comment while speaking at a protest rally organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP at the National Press Club of the capital on Friday against the increase in the price of fuel, gas and unprecedented load shedding of electricity.
